Old School
On our recent visit to Kansas, I got to see this antique desk that belonged to my great-great-grandfather. It is approximately 100 years old. My great-great grandfather apparently dealt in real estate, and I imagine this would have been the desk he would have used to write out contracts and real estate deals. Many thanks to my uncle, who showed this piece of our family history to me.

Bird and the Worm
On Occasion, I "slip these surely bonds of earth" and work out of a mobile office. This afternoon my mobile office took me to 6,500 ft where the view was spectacular. A quick trip to King Salmon, Kenai, Anchorage, then home with good weather and much appreciated sunshine the entire way.

Office views:
High FlightOh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
