Celebration

The other day I saw my 5 year old do something that still makes me nervous to do to this day. She gave a speech at her Kindergarten Graduation. (Not that speaking at my own Kindergarten graduation makes me nervous, but public speaking in general. It would be much easier to just email or text the crowd and that would be that. ) She really did a wonderful job along with each of her classmates. You can watch the embedded video.
During the ceremony they also gave out awards for the "Battle of the Books" inter-district competition. My son got 1st place and daughter got 4th in their classes, which I thought was impressive after only being in this district for a couple of months.
A week or so before the graduation the school held their music recital, of which my son participated in. His group did several songs complete with choreography! Afterward we got a chance to see some of the artwork the kids have been doing as well as their science projects. His project had a table with "candles" on it that turned on when he activated his switch.
