Located at 6,715 feet, and often hidden by cloud cover, lies the beautiful Crater Lake within Mt. Katmai. Formed from the withdraw of magma from beneath Katmai during the 1912 eruption of Novarupta, the lake now has a depth of over 800 feet. —————————————- Mt.
