This last weekend, while "checking the traps" we had the good fortune of finding a Lynx in one of our sets. It gets your heart pumping a bit when something even this big lunges at you hissing and growling. Your brain tends to forget that a chain is holding him back, and then you remember and pray that the chain continues to do so. We loaded him into the sled with the kids (after swiftly dispatching it), checked the remaining sets, and headed off the lake back home where I got to polish my rusty skinning skills.

yi-yi-yikes! that's a big cat! did y'all eat him, too? :) i'm sure you put your sewing skills to work, and made new clothes for the kids.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the poor little kitty cat! How could you?! Looks like you had fun though. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! Love the lynx. Looks exciting! Hope all is well.
ReplyDeletewow! that is an overgrown Emmy! i have never seen anything like this. you know that i have an aversion to dogs but if i live alone some day i could see a use for a cat this big. i could take it on runs with me to keep me safe. maybe next time you catch one instead of making a fur coat, you could tame it, potty train it and give it to me...you think that would work? you all are still as cute as ever. i am glad to see you having fun and making expersive fur coats! love you all~k
